Shipping policy
Summary
Your shipping fee includes the cost of delivery and packaging. It will be calculated at checkout and will vary based on the weight of your packaged order, your location, and your choice of courier.
Territory and exclusions
Fodpod delivers to the UK and the Channel Islands.
Please note that Field Doctor products can not be shipped to Northern Ireland, certain remote parts of Scotland, or the Channel Islands as the packaging may not remain frozen all the way to these locations. Please use the post code checker on any Field Doctor product page to check whether Field Doctor will deliver to you.
Carriers
Our preferred shipping partners are Royal Mail and DPD.
For certain orders delivery with Evri is available. Please be aware Evri has a track record with Fodpod of unexplained delays and lost parcels.
Field Doctor products are fulfilled by Field Doctor's own chilled distribution network. When your order contains Field Doctor products you will receive additional tracking information from Fodpod for your Field Doctor items.
Most of our books are fulfilled by Gardners UK. When your order contains books fulfilled by Gardners UK you will receive additional communication from them about the fulfilment of their products.
We will always try to use the courier you select, but from time to time we may find it necessary or expedient to select an alternative courier on your behalf. Fodpod reserves the right to make such changes without notice or penalty.
Processing times
Most orders are dispatched the working day after they day that they are placed. If your order is particularly urgent please contact us before placing it.
Once you have placed an order you will typically receive it in 3-4 working days for standard and 1-2 working days for next day shipping.
If we foresee any significant delays we will contact you by email as soon as possible to confirm that you are happy to proceed with the order, or to offer you alternative solutions.
Tracking
Every parcel we send comes with tracking for your complete peace of mind. Your tracking information is provided in your order confirmation email.
If you can not find your tracking information, if it is not working, or if something doesn't seem right, please contact us. You can reply directly to any Fodpod email, email hello@fodpod.uk, or use the chat on our website.
Field Doctor frozen products are fulfilled by Field Doctor's own carrier. You will recieve an additional email from Fodpod with your Field Doctor tracking information.
Some of our books are fulfilled by Gardners UK. Customers ordering such books will receive additional communication from Gardners with the tracking details for their part of your order.

Delays
Please remember that once your parcel is dispatched it is no longer in Fodpod's control. We do our best to make your experience as smooth as possible but occasionally there may be delays or errors caused by external influences and third parties. Fodpod is not responsible for such delays and as such will not be held accountable for them.
We recommend that you keep a close eye on your tracking details. If they have not changed in 48h please contact us straight away so that we can investigate promptly.
In certain cases of significant delay remediation may be offered solely at our discretion.
Damaged goods
We do our best to protect your goods adequately for transit, but from time to time couriers treat packages more roughly than we would like and breakages can occur.
If any of your goods arrive in an unsatisfactory or unusable condition please take photos/videos as soon as possible (including all packaging) and fill out a Damage Report within 48h of receipt of the parcel. Where black transit tape is present you must leave it on as removing it may void your damage report.

Lost parcels
The fulfilment chain is a complex process and parcels do from time to time get lost or stuck in the system.
We recommend that you keep a close eye on your tracking details. If they have not changed in 48h please contact us straight away so that we can investigate promptly.
If your parcel is lost by the courier we will raise a claim with the courier as soon as is reasonably practicable. We will always aim to replace a lost parcel, though from time to time it may be necessary to refund some or all of your order instead. We reserve the right to do so without notice.
Please be aware that if your parcel is lost this may add significant delay to the final receipt of your order.
Parcels marked as "delivered" but not able to be found
Please in the first instance check that the address you have given us is correct. You are responsible for providing accurate information as per our Terms of Service. Fodpod accepts no liability where a parcel fails to reach you because the information you provide is inaccurate.
From time to time couriers leave parcels in places that they see as a "safe place" even if you have not authorised it as such. If your parcel is showing as delivered and the address you have provided is definitely correct, please proceed to check all places in and around your property where a courier might have left your parcel. Please also check with your neighbours as they may have accepted it on your behalf.
If you have made these checks and your parcel still can not be found we will aim to replace your order. From time to time we may need to refund part or all of your order instead, and we reserve the right to do so without notice.
Please note that if your parcel is marked as delivered but can not be found this may add significant delay to the final receipt of your order.
Stolen parcels
The theft of a parcel is a crime and should be reported to the police.
If your parcel is stolen we will aim to replace it. From time to time we may need to refund part or all of your order instead, and we reserve the right to do so without notice.
