FODZYME® is the world's first enzyme supplement that breaks down FODMAPs. When sprinkled on or mixed with high-FODMAP meals, FODZYME®’s novel patent-pending enzyme blend breaks down the FODMAP molecules fructan, galacto-oligosaccharides, and lactose into more digestible simple sugars, helping you savor every bite, without any trouble.

With FODZYME®, less than 10% of fructan remains in the stomach after 30 minutes, based on a series of in-vitro experiments using a simulated GI tract. FODZYME® specifically breaks down triggers in the stomach, before they can cause trouble in the colon.

FODZYME® is virtually tasteless and does not change the texture of food. Some people with sensitive taste buds note a slight sweetness.

+ Science

FODZYME®'s efficacy was tested through SHIME®, a scientifically validated model of a human gut, showing that ~90% of fructan was degraded within 30 minutes.

The study also showed that 70% of fructose was absorbed during the simulated small intestinal transit, thus reducing gas.

Short chain fatty acid (SCFA) production was reduced but not depleted, arguably making FODZYME®’s enzymatic approach more favourable to overall colonic health than avoiding FODMAPs altogether.

+ Directions & serving size

  • Sprinkle and stir 1/4 tsp (0.75g) dose of powder on trigger food right before eating. Sprinkle a second dose if still eating after 30 minutes.
  • Add directly to problem food - The powder works best when mixed directly with your meals.
  • Chew well and savor - When possible, chew well to help the enzymes integrate with FODMAPs and activate instantly.
  • Don't heat up - Avoid adding the powder to your cooking, as enzymes will deactivate at very high temperatures.
  • Dose up if needed - If you're eating a lot of high-FODMAP foods or are extra sensitive, we recommend adding a booster dose midway through.

Other ingredients: Dextrose, Dextrin, Maltodextrin.

Life Changing!

I have recently become intolerant to wheat, lactose, soya, garlic and onion, and react quite severely to even the smallest amout of any of the above. I ordered this after much deliberation as to whether I could justify spending so much money on something that might not work. I'm so glad I decided to give it a try as it really works and I can now choose to eat normally again, as and when I feel like it.
So far, I have tried it on everything from a Chinese takeaway to pasta and a steak pasty with no reaction at all! It really has been life changing for me.
